How old do you have to be to drive a motorcycle in Ontario?
In Ontario, the age requirements for driving are as follows:
Drivers under 16 years of age must hold a Level 1 (Class G) licence (valid for 5 years). If a driver is under 16 years of age, they are not permitted to carry any passengers who are under 20 years of age and have never held a learners licence before.

In Ontario, the Ministry of Transportation has introduced a new licensing system for motorcyclists. The M1 license is the first step to becoming a fully licensed rider, and it can be obtained by anyone who meets the following criteria:
The applicant must be at least 16 years old.
The applicant must be able to read and write English or French well enough to pass a knowledge test.
The applicant must have a valid G2 driver’s licence or an equivalent licence from another jurisdiction.

The applicant must also complete an approved motorcycle training course at an authorized motorcycle school.
