What is Army Cognitive Test?
Army Cognitive Exam is a standardised test of general cognitive ability. It consists of five tests, each designed to measure different factors in the general intellect. The test is used to assess aptitude, achievement and potential in individuals who are applying for military service or are interested in joining the military.
The Army IQ Test (AIT) was created by the U.S. Army as part of its attempt to identify individual differences among recruits and determine which ones should be retained for service in Special Forces and other elite units; those who scored high on the AIT were more likely to be selected than those who scored low. The current version of the test is called the Army Cognitive Ability Test (ACAT).
